FOR EL GRITO 2025:
- The El Grito Market will take place on Park Way between Third and Fourth Avenue following the farmers market, alongside the Mexican Independence Day Celebration with music and entertainment in Memorial Park.
- The event is on Sunday, September 14th, from 4 pm to 8 pm
- Set up is from 2 pm to 3:30 pm
- Accepting applications for prepared food and beverage in limited categories, and for art and crafts created in San Diego or Mexico
- All participants must supply a Certificate of General Business Liability insurance and a California Sellers Permit
- Food vendors must have a current San Diego County TFFP
- Limited spaces are available, an application does not guarantee acceptance
- Informational and promotional spaces for services are available only as limited Sponsor spaces
SPACE SIZE: 10x10, limited space available for larger food trucks with higher space fee

Limited opportunities are available to attend the farmers market from 10 am to 2 pm and stay through the El Grito event from 4 pm to 8 pm in the same location
FOR THE CHULA VISTA FARMERS MARKET
- The market takes place every Sunday, year round, rain or shine, from 10 am to 2 pm. We have limited availability in the following categories:
- FARMERS with current California Certified Producer certificates can sell fresh fruits and vegetables, cut flowers, nuts, eggs, and some other products. CURRENTLY SEEKING MUSHROOM and DATE FARMERS
- GROCERY and PREPARED FOOD and BEVERAGE vendors must have a Temporary Food Facility Permit and/or Cottage Food Registration and sometimes a Processed Food Registration. If you are unfamiliar with permitting requirements, we recommend taking the Vendor-101 online class: www.vendor-101.com
- Informational and promotional spaces for services are available only as Sponsor-of-the-Day activations.
- All participants must supply a Certificate of General Business Liability insurance.
- Market farmers and vendors must participate Rain or Shine in order to maintain the trust of our loyal, engaged shoppers.
- We look for grocery and limited NON-FOOD items produced in San Diego, preferably sold by the maker, in keeping with our emphasis on local farmers. We prioritize home goods like pottery and kitchen goods.
- We have room for Farmers and Fishermen in various categories. Fruits and vegetables, mushrooms, dates, nuts and grains are all in demand.
- Grocery products including jams and jellies, hot sauce, pickles, mustards, granola, baking mixes, quality grains, cheese and vegan products are currently needed. The baked goods category is currently full.
- We have very limited space for additional prepared food vendors, with menus that differ from what is currently available at the market.

Rates for weekly downtown Chula Vista Farmers Market farmers and vendors vary based on product category, level of commitment, and size of booth. Certified farmers pay the lowest rates. Non-farm rates range from $55 to $95 per 10X10 booth
